The Mission of Armaveni Charitable Foundation

Nowadays widely spread and having performed an evolution in the treatment of various diseases of locomotor system, Ilizarov's method allows achieving stunning results. This method provides successful treatment of such congenital and acquired diseases as: congenital dislocation of the hip, congenital clubfoot, osteomyelitis, different sequel of trauma, etc.

Ilizarov technique requires relatively long lasting treatment, in process of which, the patient is under a constant care from medical personnel. The surgery and the postoperative care are followed by a long time outpatient period of treatment.

The cost of the treatment is determined by taken it to account used medicine, equipment, different materials and current tests, but also by duration of the post operative care. It is labor-intensive, that is why it is not cheap.

Today, unfortunately for hundreds of patients in Armenia, such treatment is just a dream. To provide help for such needy handicaps, since 2000, the Armaveni Charitable Foundation has been implementing the Standing Tall Program.

Up to now, in the scope of this program about one hundred people have been operated and treated free of charge.

The source of income for this organization is primarily donations from the numerous individuals and corporations that are moved to open their hearts and hands to help touch the lives of all the beneficiaries of the organization.

The governments, local, state and federal are involved actively to raise funds for this organization.
